Choghadiya
Eight day and eight night time-slots, each ruled by a planet and graded good, neutral or bad for activity.
What it means
Choghadiya divides the daytime and night each into eight parts, labelled Amṛta, Śubha, Lābha (good), Chara (neutral) and Roga, Kāla, Udvega (avoid). It is a popular quick way to pick a workable slot when a full muhūrta is not needed — common for travel and everyday tasks.
How it's computed
