Your data
Delete your jothi.sh account
How to permanently delete your jothi.sh account and the data in it — from inside the app, from the website, or by writing to us if you cannot sign in.
Last updated: · Version 1.2
Delete it yourself, in seconds
Sign in to jothi.sh — on the website, or in the iOS or Android app — and open Preferences, or scroll to "Your data" on the home screen. Press Delete account and confirm.
That is the whole process. It takes effect immediately, it is free, and it needs no email exchange with us.
If you cannot sign in
Write to [[PRIVACY & SUPPORT EMAIL — owner to supply]] from the email address of the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion, normally within 30 days.
What deletion removes
- Every saved birth profile — the encryption key for each is destroyed, which makes the stored data permanently unreadable, including in backups.
- Every saved advisor conversation, by the same method, including its label.
- Your cached report PDFs, and the cached advisor answers, written predictions and daily notes held against your account.
- Your advisor feedback, your notification subscriptions, your API keys, your payment records, all your sign-in sessions, and your account itself, including your email address and any name or avatar a sign-in provider gave us.
- Any record of you in our CRM, together with the queue of updates waiting to be sent to it — both of which hold your email address.
What remains, and why
- An append-only tamper-evidence log keeps the bare fact that a profile with a given opaque identifier was created or deleted, and when. It contains no birth details, no email address and no location, and the data it refers to is already unreadable. It survives because a chain with a gap in it can no longer prove it has not been altered.
- Advisor feedback we had already converted into an anonymous training example carries no link back to you, so it cannot be located and removed. Nothing in it identifies you.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as tax records for a payment.
Take your data with you first
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy, use Export my data in Preferences before you delete — it downloads all your saved profiles as a file.
