Bhāva (House)
A house: one of twelve life-areas measured from the Lagna, from self and wealth to career and loss.
What it means
The twelve bhāvas each govern themes — 1st self and body, 7th partnership, 10th career, and so on — with the kendras (1/4/7/10) and trikoṇas (1/5/9) being the strongest. This app uses whole-sign houses, where each house is exactly one rāśi counted from the Lagna.
How it's computed
chart.ts assigns whole-sign houses: the Lagna's sign is house 1 and each following sign is the next house, so a graha's house is simply its sign counted from the Lagna sign.
