Ashtakavarga
A point-scoring system that grades each sign's strength for the planets, summed as the Sarvāṣṭakavarga.
What it means
Each planet contributes benefic points (bindus) to the signs from itself and the others, giving a per-planet Bhinnāṣṭakavarga; adding the seven together gives the Sarvāṣṭakavarga (SAV). Signs with high SAV are strong for transits and results; the classical whole-chart SAV total is always 337.
How it's computed
ashtakavarga.ts builds each planet's BAV from the classical benefic-place tables and sums them into the SAV; the engine's tests verify the invariant Sarva total = 337 and the per-planet totals.
